Minter Gardens opens Sunday

Thursday, March 24th, 2011

All over the valley snowdrops and crocus have emerged from their wintry slumber marking the beginning of Spring and Minter Gardens 2011 season.  On Sunday, March 27 this dazzling 32 acre world class show garden will officially open it’s gates for it’s 31st year.  From formal French flare and rolling English knots to quaint alpine meadows and picturesque water features this outdoor escape captures the full range of nature’s beauty.  Only a short 10 minute drive from Harrison Hot Springs and a stones throw from Hwy 1,  it is the perfect stop off on your way in or out of the village.

Paperboys rocked it!

Tuesday, March 1st, 2011

The sold out Saturday night performance of Vancouver party band the Paperboys was another fantastic Harrison Festival concert in the historic (and newly renovated) Memorial Hall.  The threat of snow didn’t keep the crowd away or their enthusiasm.  The groups unique blend of Latin, Celtic and a host of other styles had the audience ’dancing till they dropped’ – an unforgettable evening of music.
