Don’t miss the Olympic torch coming to town, as it makes it way through our  community on Feb 7th, 2010. There will be celebrations, family friendly activities and entertainment in the Plaza and Memorial Hall. Get into the Olympic fever and cheer on our relay participants. See you there!

Several locations in and around Harrison Hot Springs celebrate thanksgiving with a special feast.  The Harrison Resort never disappoints with their buffet in the Lakeside Cafe and their traditional 5 course dinner in the Copper Room.  Raven’s Restaurant, lakeside in the Harrison Beach Hotel, offers an a la carte menu and a 5 course dinner option.  Both locations have colourful autumn displays to set the mood.  Kilby Historic Site in Harrison Mills also celebrates Thanksgiving with a traditonal meal.  You can tour the museum and enjoy apple cider making demonstations to take you back in time as you celebrate with family and friends. 

Reservations are recommended during the Thanksgiving weekend at all locations. 

What a great event for children and families!  Over 100 people showed up in the Harrison Lake Plaza to hear a story read by a local Village Councillor and see a magic show by Wyatt Scott.  Everyone there enjoyed pizza for lunch and recieved a free copy of the story read; Rhinos for Lunch and Elephants for Supper.  Two more storytimes are planned for August 19th and 26th same time, same place.  Be sure to check it out; its fantastic family fun and value.
